The horrors of Uzbekistan.

A poor man and no doubt there are others is abt to be sent to torture and death. I am only a slight bystander on this, how he must fear and dread touchdown. I wish him courage and strength. The man is associated with a potential opposition party in Uzbekistan, opposition parties are banned!

He should be kept safe in the uk and nurtured
.

See http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2007/11/britain_institu.html for the man who knows what he is talking abt.

Babbling from Government reached its lowest with Tony. A way of spewing for the camera that never wanted examination of his empty words. I feel very strongly over the misuse of language. How scenes, scenarios, pronouncements, challenges, directives and plans for the future are carried forward to the masses on a magic carpet of words. Men in centuries past have debated and disected anything and everything to get to the truth of it. We seem to live in a world now where a waft of words drift and are expected to hold currency when in fact a bright child of sixteen could pull them apart.  Perhaps part of the problem (as a man that makes things) is that 'action is at a distance' the person who instructs, directs and instigates is perhaps too remote from the sharp end, perhaps shouldn't be allowed to be so remote. I certainly think this would tally in the NHS and our schools. Platitudes and pronouncements and 'flash' visits where everyone is trying to create a good impression are of no use.

By chance a couple of days ago I stumbled upon the BBC World Service, beamed to Africa., on something like 21.470 megs, right at the start of a fascinating visit to Bletchley Park to hear abt the reconstructed Collosus computing machine. Fascinating! I've several books on Bletchley, Turing, Tommy Flowers at Dollis Hill, wonderful that this country could achieve such things. Churchill was driven in his deire of utilising technology - thank God he was. He had knowledge of the importance of codes and ciphers from the first war. Could we achieve such wonders now? I don't know. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6895759.stm is a good visit for the Colossus rebuild.

On a light note, I've recently been presented with a pile of books, Mathews Chinese Dictionary which is astounding, 7k entries to amuse me, a classic of its kind. Also Peakes Commentary on the Bible, Steers 'The Coastline of England and Wales'. I am so lucky.

On the previous embed I forgot to mention the artist is David Oistrakh. Blimey he's good!  So very good! Lots of other gems on youtube. My MrS2 knows of him well. i am verey impressed with Oistrakhs playing, he seems to go places others cannot. The youtube comments for him tell so much. I'm glad I've found him.

We skipped the light fandango
Turned cartwheels cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
But the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
As the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
The waiter brought a tray

And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale
She said, there is no reason
And the truth is plain to see.
But I wandered through my playing cards
And would not let her be
One of sixteen vestal virgins
Who were leaving for the coast
And although my eyes were open
They might have just as wellve been closed
She said, Im home on shore leave,
Though in truth we were at sea
So I took her by the looking glass
And forced her to agree
Saying, you must be the mermaid
Who took neptune for a ride.
But she smiled at me so sadly
That my anger straightway died

If music be the food of love
Then laughter is its queen
And likewise if behind is in front
Then dirt in truth is clean
My mouth by then like cardboard
Seemed to slip straight through my head
So we crash-dived straightway quickly
And attacked the ocean bed (less)
